60 years in GOA
Salesian's of the Konkan Vice-Province recall their origins
The red letter day is 4th of April.
It's 60 years that these men of Don Bosco, dedicated to give hope
to youngster, deep in faith that even in a strange land, they could
work wonders. None of them must have ever imagined that they would
reach a stage, Don Bosco is today. Many believe they landed in Goa
by fluke, try to escape the cluthes of the english and be locked
up in a concentration camp. But in the eyes of faith, these are
men who did not want to give up, despite the worst of trials. They
had a mission to accomplish, and not even the political events could
turn their spirits low. The Salesians of Goa, can thank the dedication
of such great men, to have paved the way ahead.

Something more at HUBLI
A note from the neighbourhood villages
Even in the bustle of ordinary life, we have streaks of the extra-ordinary that make life
interesting and worth living. For many Don Bosco Hubli, is just a Open school, Technical
centre, etc. But the village work here is equally demanding. And thanks to the spontaneous
response by the villagers, especially the children, it builds our hopes.
|
| The Salesians of Don Bosco, following
the same spirit, work in different presences fulfilling the same mission,
for the benefit of society. Spread over the whole konkan region, the
society, comes to the aid of youngsters through schools, technical
(Formal/non Formal) schools, boardings, Childline centers, etc. |
